It’s them, it’s not me.

We’re all Terrorists/Freedom Fighters waiting to happen… depending on which side you on. Take Mandela for example… he said he was just an ordinary man in extra-ordinary circumstances, but one thing is for sure… he decided to be there… he CHOSE to do what he did.

Ask a kid what he thinks the school bully is… a terrorist maybe? How are we gonna spin pop psychology this time to suit our little precious needs?

If your father molested you as a kid, it’s kind of okay that you end up a serial rapist… is it really that simple? Don’t people make choices anymore or does something have to be blamed and everyhting will be okay? The past, your parents, some guy who flipped you off in traffic, a pissed off teacher, postal workers…

Didn’t anybody ever have the notion that maybe, just maybe… the person who did that horrible act is one sadistic, crazy motherfucker… who CHOSE to do what he/she did?

…’said the shotgun to the head.

Ola ma Gent. Choice is a loaded term, whole nurture vs. nature issue, Are our choices just wired circuits of the way we made up? But I get you because I think in this world we always blame other people, youths blame adults (parents), adults blame one another.

Even when couples fight, how often do we look internally and say what could I have done differently. For me your choice is your own, within reason it almost can’t be judged because no1 knows what u going thru except you. BUT you must take responsibility for all your choices. In the end it is all up to you and your choice.

slms.. this is a brilliant comment on the dark side of the psyche, mostly and makes one realise the many colours of taking responsibility and not caring at all. i have in my mind, and image of the acts of a murdered who goes about systematically carving the victims body and placing body parts in a sordid array that works as art to its observor, and i realise, that the devil breeds in the godless, for sure! may Allah have Mercy on our Souls.

& all the mumbo jumbo psychobabble self help books perpetuate this notion that we are a product of our environment. i do not dispute environment plays a key role in who we are, but it does not define us. murder in a fit of rage is pardonable under extenuating circumstances- we do have a choice. by saying we dont, we become worthless, weak people without strength or will
