F**k Indian Durban.
(Please excuse the rampant Profanity in this post, I really , Really need to vent.)
I can’t wait to get out of this God Forsaken place. All Durban has is the beach. If it didn’t have that it would be the ultimate hell hole. There is a reason why it’s only good for holidays, especially if you’re an indian. The things I have to endure in this place crawls under my skin. Constant Gossip, Racism, Classism, Caste Systems… FUCK! I am so sick of it. Every single indian female I run into (okay maybe not ALL) has this insatiable desire to know every little detail about my life… FUCK OFF! I swear I’m at my wits end… apart from friends like MJ and some others which make this ride in Durban just a little bit less tedious, this place is… oh fuck it.
I’ve had old indian women confess… “I know I’m racist, but that’s just the way it is…”, I’ve had constant questioning of mundane things like.. “Where you going? Where you went? What you did there? why?” WTF? like it’s anybody’s fucking business. I once looked dead straight at one aunty and said “Naah, I’m just tired from the strip club last night, and tonight we’re hitting the entire strip on point road.” Now, the thing is , these aunties know me too well to know that I’d never actually do any of those things… so I think they got the sarcastic message… “I don’t want to answer you, Leave me the fuck alone.”
Recently, I actually felt depressed, I mean seriously depressed… and I only realised this after the fact… I have never been depressed in my life, infact, my philosophy on life is that a Muslim can never be depressed (think about it). I can only conclude that this place (said with all the gusto of Agent Smith from the Matrix)… I feel infected by it.
Between Racists, Classists, Bigots, Hypocrites and just plain fucking idiots. I wanna go home :( Now try and ask me why the fuck I miss Johannesburg so much. You know why.

Hey All, I just read some of the posts now… I think its funny how you are all having your say about who is wrong and who is right…. You all have your own point of view but dont listen to others!! When the human race starts looking at each other as humans not by race then the WORLD will be a better place.. Its not about what colour you are, Its about who you are!!!
Im a white guy and it seriously frustrates me when people judge other people by race… We all bleed red people…. I have a variety of friends from black to indian to white to coloured and they are all BRILLIANT people… We learn alot from each other everyday… My sister is marrying an indian guy who happens to be my best friend… Whats the big deal, LOVE has no colour!!!! There where some people commenting on not marrying indian guys and other comments of who you going to marry then, Please, Marry who you want because you love them not because they are a certain colour…. Stop being narrow minded, Look at the bigger picture….
The guy just wanted to vent that he is unhappy about a few things, Let him vent dont diss him… He is angry where he is at and he needed to let it out, Weather he is unhappy about Durban, JHB, P.E, Cape Town who cares, He is unhappy and needed to let it out…
I think every place in the world is amazing to some and then not so amazing to others…. Let people believe and say what they want…
Dont take offence to what other people dont like, If we all liked the same things and disliked the same things life would be boring and there would be no point in living….
Alot of comments where people saying that he must stop hating and things like that, But then they say that they think he is a a bitch and must f### off… That is a contradiction if you ask me!!!
Learn to love people, Learn to try and understand people and let them have their say without judging them…

Durban Durban Durban..hate is a harsh word,but in essence I have mixed emotions.Durban rocks.the people are awesome,except an ignorant handful,especially muslims originally from northern KZN.had a depressin experience,bein judged by my bf’s parents solely bcoz I’m urdu speaking..I was a broken person after that encounter,they preventd him 4m contactin me.but hey,I’m not givin up.we stil hope to get married.I’A.the caste system in durban n regions outsyd durbz is rife,makes me stronger.wudnt wanna leav durbz tho..

You have REAL hamburgers with FRESH salad (clean to!! not with typhoid laced crap on it) You have robots, (u knw those things that bling at intersections, those things that CONTROL traffic??) robots that mean go, wait-slow or STOP!!! i challenge you to come here in one of your VW GTI’s [thats a dig at the Joes boys in midrand] and drive just from the “beach” (Gas mask – stinks all the way there) plus a SHARP knife [to cut the plastic off your legs as you drown in the waves by being tangled in plastic bags that are washed into the sea from the shit channels, local draining system). You can drive 10 klm (called miles here) in less than an hour, forget it here into town. You have SHOPPING MALLS!! here you have a lebanese who is mostly mafia, that rips you off in every way he can because only you will walk in and buy say cheez? Imported of course and will cost you R90 for a few slithers. You CANT find fresh milk, you are over charged by no less than 5 times on EVERYTHING you buy or pay for, just because your white (dont think you indian guys get free—or foreign!) u and i, we pay 30,000 leones to town, a local, no more than 4,000 leons. So, water dirty in sea, HOT woman but all think your a bank, shitty french food, -a fucking ‘fluffy’ omelet is the thickness and texture of your pannekoek. WTF! and they dont know wht ‘cinnamon’ is!!!!! [i thought maybe cause it looks like a pancake i might as well make it tast like one. i could go on for ever…. ENJOY that beautiful city with its beautiful beaches (Umhlanga, north / south coast……..) enjoy that you can buy ANYTHING you want and not have to haggle over it, AND STILL GET RIPPED OFF and that you can take photos of anything you want without being arrested, enjoy that you have a clean city (well mostly) enjoy that right now you have a CONSTANT supply of power and that it does NOT take 37.8 minuts to attach a 54kb file to your email!!

the post sounds just about right. i have to go to durban maybe every 3 months for bussiness and as my in-laws are there have to go visit them. It sucks, they think they better then you cos the family come from india and never saw any other part of this lovily country of ours, all they know is durban this and durban that, get a life there is so much more then just durban and so many different ppl also not just fucking memons.
